Danielle Kent
M.S., CCC-SLP | Founder & Operator
Danielle Kent is a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist with over 14 years of experience across a variety of clinical and educational settings. Since earning her Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology in 2011, she has been committed to empowering adults—both parents and professionals—to understand and support the development of self-regulation skills in children and adolescents.
In 2016, Danielle completed the prestigious Vermont Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental Disabilities (VT-LEND) fellowship, further deepening her expertise in neurodiversity and interdisciplinary care. She is the owner and operator of Pwiece of Mind Therapy and Consulting, LLC, through which she provides statewide consultation and evaluation services, as well as professional development in areas such as self-regulation, executive functioning, and social communication within school settings.
Danielle is also the co-owner of VT AAC, LLC, where she and her colleague deliver specialized Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) evaluations and consultations for students with complex communication needs. Together, they also offer professional development to school teams throughout Vermont around AAC, play-based learning, and literacy.
As an instructor with the Vermont Higher Education Collaborative (VT-HEC), Danielle teaches a variety of workshops and courses focused on her areas of expertise, including early language and literacy development.
She is currently a Ph.D. student in the Interprofessional Health Sciences (Speech-Language Pathology) program at the University of Vermont with a focus on neurodiversity-affirming communication evaluations and intervention strategies for minimally speaking children.
In addition, she is the host of the Coaching Youth For Life podcast, where she shares insights and strategies for supporting youth development. Danielle is also the author of the self-published children's book Max Learns to Pause, which she enjoys sharing with families and professionals alike.

Leah Sophrin and Danielle Kent have teamed up to bring comprehensive and student centered AAC services to the state of VT! Our services focus on comprehensive communication partner training for AAC and prioritizing regulation, engagement, autonomy, and interdependence.
