Pivot Wellness 🌱

An organization that is dedicated towards building and sustaining a positive culture for adults and kids on teams, facilitating wellness for all.

As of now, there are TWO main products to support this mission: Project All In and Toughness & Togetherness.

Profits from both are going to create free resources for teams across the state of Vermont (& eventually I hope the nation!) to turn around the culture of youth sports to be a place of competition, challenge, and belonging for all.

Project All in

The story of where this stems from is tricky- but important. I (Danielle) wound up calling a youth basketball game I was coaching due to inappropriate adult behavior. The push back from the opposing team was alarming. There was insistence that it wasn’t fair to ‘their girls.’ ‘But what about my girls’ I said, ‘Do you see them? Do you see how upset some of them are?’

This pushed me to promote the concept of all in- that adults need to come together to see that all of the kids on the floor, court, field, etc- they are ALL our kids. We should want the best for ALL of them.

I have partnered with a local business (Granite City Graphics) who takes care of all the shipping. Let me know if you need me to pick up your shirt!

This is Their Sport

In youth sports, us adults can be swayed by our ego in watching our kids play. A loss, a bad call, or a tough game are all great learning opportunities for our kids to prepare them for life- and a reminder that this is their sport- and their time to learn.

These are all our Kids

In a game, keeping perspective that everyone on the floor is someone’s kid- and that ideally these are all our kids- can help us keep what is really important in perspective.

Toughness & Togetherness

There seem to be two crucial qualities on every team I have been on that has been competitive- and that is toughness and togetherness.

Competitive doesn’t mean you win every game- but it means you are in every game until the buzzer sounds. It means you understand every play is an opportunity to learn and try again. This skill of staying in it even when it’s tough- and playing together- is crucial for life.

On each wristband you will also see two dynamites- the combination of toughness & togetherness is what truly makes a dynamic team.

I am developing a curriculum for this framework- get on the list to be notified and be part of the pilot group!
